Mr. Chris Davis is a graduate of the University of North Texas and arrived at Aubrey ISD in 2001.  He has served as the Northeast Zone Band Coordinator for 8 years and ATSSB Region 2 MS Coordinator for 3 years.  He is currently a member of the Aubrey Education Foundation with 10+ year as a board member.  His professional affiliates include ATSSB, TMEA, and TBA.

Mr. Davis has 2 children that have graduated from Aubrey High School, Merisa 2012 and Brenan 2016.

Jason Noyes

Jason Noyes is in his 2nd year as Director of Bands at Aubrey High School and his 17th year as a Texas music educator. His responsibilities include directing the Marching Band, the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and the Jazz Band.  Mr. Noyes oversees all aspects of the Chaparral Band Program.

Prior to his appointment to Aubrey High School, Mr. Noyes served as the Director of Bands at Bryan High School in Bryan, TX. The Viking Band was a consistent finalist at numerous marching contests in the Austin and Houston area and has also received consistent superior ratings at UIL contests. The Bryan High School Marching Band advanced to the 5a State Marching Band Championships in 2017 for the first time in school history. Before coming to Bryan High School, Mr. Noyes served as the Associate Director of Bands at Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas. At REL, Mr. Noyes directed the high school’s non-varsity concert band, co-directed the marching band, directed 2 jazz big bands, and also taught beginning trumpet and horn for Moore MST Middle School. Under his leadership, the Robert E. Lee High School Band achieved consistent superior ratings at University Interscholastic League (UIL) Marching Contests and Concert & Sight-reading Contests. He helped grow the jazz program to include 2 big bands and one combo. Before coming to Robert E. Lee High School, Mr. Noyes served as the Associate Director of Bands for Seminole ISD in Seminole, Texas. At Seminole, Mr. Noyes directed the junior high school non-varsity concert band and the high school non-varsity concert band, taught beginning trumpet, horn, flute, and percussion classes, and assisted with all aspects of the high school and junior high school band program.

Mr. Noyes received his bachelor’s degree in music education from Texas Tech University in 2004. While at Texas Tech, he was a section leader of the Goin’ Band from Raiderland, under the direction of Keith Bearden, and principal trumpet of the Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Cody Birdwell. During the summers of 2001-2003, Mr. Noyes was a member of the DCI World Champion Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps.

Mr. Noyes is a past Region 21 Jazz Chair. He is currently a member of Texas Bandmaster’s Association and Texas Music Educator’s Association.

He is married to his lovely wife, Tricia, and they have two sons, Forrest and Ian.
